Gilmoril: Technogothic Nightmare – A Monster Hunting TTRPG

Hello all!

We've had some time to rest and recuperate, but that doesn't mean we were doing nothing. This week we started reconnecting with the many manufacturers we spoke to before the campaign to get the ball rolling on prototypes, samples, designs, and more.

We are still waiting for the initial payments to be processed so that we can start paying for everything. On that note, we have about $9.7k of the full $19.5k accounted for so far. $7k is in instalments so we won't see all of that until August when we send off for the core book to be printed, however that leaves around $2.5k as bounced payments.

If you haven't set up your payment please don't forget to do so soon. The sooner it is done the sooner we can start ordering everything.

In other news, the pre-order store has been set up. Anyone who missed the campaign can now place an order for anything featured in the campaign. So if you have friends, colleagues, relatives, etc. who may be interested, share it with them!

The campaign is over, the smoke has cleared, and we are so very thankful to you all. This is happening. We now have a responsibility to you all to deliver on our promises, and that's what we're going to do.

Over the next few weeks we are going to be working on the pledge manager and surveys, which will allow you to confirm shipping details, orders, add-ons, and the like. We are also setting up late pledges for anyone who missed out on the initial campaign.

The first charges should have been attempted already, and some of you will have already paid. Others will need to fix up their payments at some point which is something we have accounted for, so if you're currently struggling, no rush. Finally there are some who are paying in instalments.
Those of you who haven't fully paid yet, please note that you will not receive the survey until you have. This is a Backerkit restriction and not something we can control.

All this is to say we won't see the entire amount raised for a couple months, but as funds come in they will be assigned to different items to ensure everything can be covered.

We will be as transparent with you all as we can manage, releasing weekly updates around how everything is progressing, as well as asking for feedback. So keep an eye out and make sure you're up to date on everything.

As a reminder on that front, our last update contained the character creation rules for Gilmoril. Don't forget to have a look and let us know what you think of not just the rules, but the general layout. This is one of the most direct ways you can influence the game going forward and we'd love to hear from you!

We did it! We are officially going to be publishing Gilmoril: Technogothic Nightmare physically, and it's all thanks to you!

Over halfway in terms of funding, half of our allotted time to go. If you haven't pledge yet but intend to, make sure to keep an eye on the remaining time.

Importantly, a 3rd-party Adventure Path has been added to the Venerer tier and above! This adventure path contains three separate hunts you can run for your players, and is automatically included for everyone who has backed at those tiers.

But please note, this adventure path is not available as an add-on, you will need to back at the Venerer tier or higher in order to get it. This is an awesome set of adventures by a great writer, truly is it worth the price (along with everything else you receive at those tiers!)

(Don't worry about spoilers, the hunts change drastically based on the actions of the players!)

Hello all!
We're over half way there, and just this morning we crossed the 10k mark! We're so thankful for everyone that has backed so far, and for those of you who have been waiting for the right time to back, now's as good as ever! Don't forget that you will not be charged until after the campaign ends.

We've been pretty busy over the last few days so were unable to update as we crossed halfway, but assume if you don't hear from us it's because we are working hard on something special.

As mentioned in a previous update, we are adding additional 3rd-party content to the Venerer Tier and up. That change will be reflected in the tiers themselves later this week as we finalise the details. We are also making great progress on the editing of the final manuscript and have begun layout for the physical book.

With all that comes a Special Announcement: Next weekend on the 25th of April at 1pm EST, there will be a live play session of Gilmoril hosted on the MimicsNMisfits youtube channel. If you're interested in the game but have been waiting to see how it plays first, here's your chance!

As I said, we've been busy. While we want to provide updates at every single step, we also don't want to flood your inboxes every time we make a little progress.
